Hotel and condo delivery

How delivery works

Tell us the address and a time, and we bring the car to you. We meet at the hotel lobby or the drop-off bay; if the building has no visitor parking we wait at the entrance to the soi or the nearest obvious landmark and call you.

Delivery is free anywhere within about 25 km of the city centre, which covers the old city, Nimman, Santitham, Chang Khlan and the Night Bazaar, Wat Ket, and most of Hang Dong, San Sai, Mae Rim and Saraphi. Beyond that radius there is a flat ฿300 delivery charge per rental — not per day — and we will tell you before you commit, never after. The rates page lists the fee for each named pickup point.

What to send us when you book

Four things make delivery go smoothly, and all of them can go in one LINE message:

• The building name and full address. Hotel names repeat across Chiang Mai; there are several with near-identical names in different districts.
• The soi number if you are on one. Map pins for guesthouses are frequently a hundred metres out or on the wrong side of a canal.
• Your room or unit number, if reception cannot reach you otherwise.
• A time. We keep to it. If you are running late, one message is enough — we will wait.

If you are arriving in Chiang Mai the same day and are not certain when you will reach the hotel, give us your flight or train number instead of a time and we will work it out from the live arrival.

Villas, resorts and addresses outside the city

We deliver to villas and resorts in the Mae Rim valley, Hang Dong, San Kamphaeng and out towards Doi Saket regularly. Two things to check before booking a car to a rural address:

Access. Some villa driveways are steep, unsurfaced, or narrow enough that a larger car is uncomfortable. If you know the approach is tight, tell us — the BYD Dolphin is significantly shorter than the ATTO 3 and handles this better.

Charging. Rural addresses are where an EV needs a little more thought. Ask your host whether there is a socket you may use overnight. If there is, you will not need a public charger at all. If there is not, expect to plan a charging stop into a trip into town every few days. Our charging guide has the detail.

Charging when you are based at a hotel

Many Chiang Mai hotels and condos have an AC charger for guests. It is worth one message to reception before your pickup day, because the answer changes what your week looks like: with a hotel charger, you plug in overnight and never think about it again.

Without one, the pattern that works is charging while you are already doing something else — the DC fast chargers at the large shopping malls and major petrol stations will take our cars from 20% to 80% in roughly half an hour, which is about the length of a meal.

The car arrives fully charged, and that first charge is free, so none of this applies on day one.

Handover and documents

Handover takes about 15 minutes wherever we do it. You need your original driving licence, held for at least one year, and the driver must be 21 or over. A licence issued outside Thailand must be accompanied by a valid International Driving Permit and your passport.

We are firm about the IDP for a specific reason: without one, an insurer is entitled to refuse a claim, which would leave the full cost of any damage with you personally. That is a far worse outcome than the inconvenience of not getting the car. It must be issued in your own country before you travel — it cannot be obtained in Thailand. We photograph the car together — all four corners, both bumpers, the wheels, the cabin, and the odometer and battery level — and send the whole set to your LINE chat on the spot. The deposit is ฿5,000, paid in cash or by PromptPay, returned in full on the day you hand the car back.

Collection at the end

We collect from the same place, or from anywhere else that suits you better — the airport, the station, a different hotel if you have moved. Tell us on LINE and we will be there.

Collection or delivery between 22:00 and 06:00 carries a ฿200 out-of-hours fee, charged once per rental rather than per day.

Booking

Message us on LINE with your dates, your address and the car you want. The booking stays "awaiting confirmation" until a person has checked the car is actually free, which normally takes about 15 minutes during opening hours. Nothing is charged in advance, no credit card is required, and cancellation is free up to 24 hours before delivery.
